TOPIC: Social Media and Intellectual Property Rights: What are the emerging issues of which you should be aware?
Social media and networking sites have exploded into the national consciousness. As the use of this media has increased exponentially – it is estimated that Facebook has over 500 million members -- lawyers and clients are scrambling to evaluate the impact of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other sites on their intellectual property. This 1.5-hour presentation will use the recent movie “The Social Network” as a template to examine that impact of social media such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn on intellectual property rights. Art Stein, who has practiced intellectual property for more than 30 years, and John Marsh, whose practice focuses on trade secret law, will look at recent decisions and how parties and courts are dealing with this phenomena

CLE: An application will be filed with the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 1.5 total CLE hours instruction.
